5 things you need to bear in mind
No AL number = invisible listing
Airbnb and Booking are legally required to hide listings without a valid registration number. No exceptions, no transition periods.
Smoke detectors are mandatory
Fire safety regulations require smoke detectors and extinguishers in the property. Without meeting these requirements, you won't pass registration.
Guest registration is subject to the GDPR
Do you collect guests' personal data? You need a legal basis, a privacy policy and clearly defined retention periods.
Inspections without prior notice
The fire brigade and health authorities can show up unannounced. Your documents have to be ready at all times, not just after a phone call.
Fines running into the thousands of euros
